Abstract: ABSTRACT INTELLIGENT THERMAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE BATTERY PACKS The present invention relates to an intelligent thermal management system configured for regulating the operating temperature of electric vehicle battery packs. More particularly, the invention discloses a battery cooling system incorporating cooling channels, circulating coolant mechanisms, thermal sensors, heat exchangers, and a control unit integrated with a battery management system for maintaining optimal battery operating temperatures. The system continuously monitors thermal conditions within battery modules and dynamically regulates cooling intensity based on operational load, ambient conditions, charging status, and battery temperature. The invention utilizes liquid cooling, air cooling, and optional phase change material- based passive cooling for efficient heat dissipation and prevention of thermal runaway. The disclosed system improves battery lifespan, charging efficiency, operational safety, thermal uniformity, and overall energy efficiency of electric vehicles. The invention is particularly suitable for electric cars, buses, two-wheelers, commercial electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and fast-charging battery infrastructures.
