Abstract: ABSTRACT INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS AND METHOD FOR REAL-TIME GESTURE RECOGNITION WITH CLASSIFICATION OF ENERGY HARVESTING SIGNALS An intelligent, self powered system for real time gesture recognition with classification of energy harvesting signals, comprising: a piezoelectric nanogenerator configured to generate voltage signals in response to biomechanical motion and to act both as an energy harvester and a gesture sensor, the system being configured to operate without an external power supply; a data acquisition and preprocessing module configured to sample the voltage signals and to segment time series voltage into overlapping frames using a sliding window signal segmentation module, thereby preserving temporal continuity of gestures and mitigating information loss across gesture transitions; a neural network architecture operatively coupled to the data acquisition and preprocessing module and comprising a Long Short Term Memory network configured to process the overlapping frames as time ordered sequences and a Multilayer Perceptron configured to extract temporal features from the segmented time series voltage and to map extracted features to predefined gesture or interference classes.
