Abstract: Abstract Intelligent Stapling Force Optimization System for Automated Document Fastening An intelligent stapling force optimization system for automated document fastening is disclosed. The system comprises a paper characteristic sensing module, a load sensing module, a control unit, an actuator-driven stapling mechanism, a staple monitoring module, and a display interface. An ultrasonic sensor measures paper thickness while a load cell determines paper weight. Based on the measured parameters and an estimated sheet density, the control unit calculates a Stapling Force Index (SFI) representing an optimum force required for reliable document fastening. The calculated SFI is utilized to control actuator displacement, penetration depth, and stapling force during operation. The system further monitors staple availability, updates staple inventory after each stapling cycle, and generates refill notifications when staple levels fall below a predetermined threshold. Historical stapling data may be stored and utilized to refine future force calculations. The invention improves stapling accuracy and enhances operational efficiency in document fastening applications.
