Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of an intelligent system for social responsibility monitoring and sustainability improvement in smart cities by way of machine learning that would ensure the ongoing assessment and improvement of the urban sustainability. The proposed system will include the data received from IoT sensors, environmental monitors, municipal databases, satellite images, citizens' participation systems and public resources via a single data acquisition framework. The data preprocessing stage will process and normalize all of the received data, and the machine learning analytics engine will carry out the tasks of feature extraction, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and sustainability forecasting. The sustainability evaluation stage will produce dynamic social responsibility and sustainability indicators, and the explainable artificial intelligence stage will provide clear recommendations for resource optimization and policy implementation.
