Abstract: ABSTRACT Autonomous security and surveillance systems are becoming increasingly important in modern smart environments due to the rising demand for intelligent threat detection and rapid emergency response. However, conventional security systems often suffer from limited adaptability, delayed alert mechanisms, and ineffective real-time monitoring capabilities. This project proposes an AI-assisted smart home security system that integrates mmWave radar sensing, real-time motion detection, and wireless alert communication to improve safety and monitoring efficiency. The system utilizes advanced sensors and embedded hardware to detect human presence and suspicious movement even in low-light or obstructed conditions. Upon detecting unauthorized activity, the system instantly activates audio-visual alerts and transmits emergency notifications to the user through GSM communication. By combining intelligent sensing with fast response mechanisms, the proposed system enhances reliability, reduces false detection, and ensures continuous protection in residential and restricted environments. The system can be effectively applied in smart homes, offices, industrial areas, elderly safety monitoring, and secure surveillance applications where traditional motion detection systems may fail to provide accurate and timely response.
