Abstract: Intelligent Smart City Transportation Network Optimization Using Graph Theory and Deep Learning is the proposed invention. The proposed invention is an intelligent smart city transportation network optimization system using graph theory and deep learning is disclosed, wherein urban transportation infrastructure is modeled as a graph comprising interconnected nodes and edges representing intersections, transit hubs, and transportation routes. The system collects real-time data from IoT sensors, connected vehicles, GPS devices, traffic cameras, and public transportation networks, and processes the data using a Graph Attention Network (GAT) deep learning model to learn complex spatial relationships and predict traffic congestion, travel demand, vehicle flow, and network bottlenecks. Based on these predictions, an intelligent optimization engine dynamically adjusts route planning, traffic signal control, public transit scheduling, and resource allocation to improve transportation efficiency and network performance. The system further incorporates continuous learning mechanisms that adapt to changing traffic conditions, road incidents, and commuter behavior, enabling real-time decision-making and predictive traffic management. The invention reduces congestion, minimizes travel time and fuel consumption, lowers environmental impact, enhances urban mobility, and provides a scalable solution for intelligent transportation management within smart city ecosystems.
