The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an intelligent self-adaptive wind power forecasting system and method employing automated evaluation, ranking and selection of forecasting models. The system acquires historical wind turbine, meteorological, geographical and power generation data, validates and preprocesses the data, and generates relevant temporal and operational features. A model library comprising statistical, machine learning, deep learning, hybrid and ensemble models is evaluated using forecasting performance metrics including MAE, RMSE and R². An adaptive ranking engine dynamically selects or recommends a suitable model based on model performance, turbine characteristics, geographical conditions and environmental parameters. Forecasts are generated for selected time horizons, and actual generation data may be used for feedback-based recalibration and updating of model rankings.
