Abstract: An intelligent safety helmet (100) integrates advanced sensing and communication technologies to enhance rider protection. Its helmet shell structure (102) houses functional elements, including an infrared sensor (104) that detects the presence of a wearer, and a control unit (106) that processes signals from the infrared sensor (104). A dual-purpose accelerometer (108) measures head tilts to activate rear direction indicators (122-1) and detects sudden impacts to recognize crashes. A front-mounted proximity detection unit (110) continuously monitors nearby objects or vehicles, triggering safety alerts when hazards are detected. The control unit (106) also connects to a GPS tracking unit (112) for real-time location monitoring. In difficulties, an emergency communication unit (116) automatically transmits alerts and GPS data to designated recipients, ensuring timely assistance. This unit is linked to a user interface (118), displays alerts and location information, providing both the wearer and external parties with critical safety updates in real time.
