Abstract: Intelligent Reservation Management Framework for Railway Reservation Forecasting and Dynamic Seat Assignment is the proposed invention. The proposed invention discloses an Intelligent Reservation Management Framework for Railway Reservation Forecasting and Dynamic Seat Assignment using artificial intelligence and real- time optimization. The framework integrates historical reservation records, passenger behavior, train schedules, route connectivity, cancellation history, weather information, and operational constraints to accurately forecast reservation demand using a Temporal Fusion Transformer combined with Graph Neural Networks. A Deep Reinforcement Learning agent dynamically allocates seats by continuously optimizing occupancy, waiting-list reduction, quota utilization, passenger convenience, and operational fairness. The framework further incorporates explainable artificial intelligence for transparent allocation decisions and a digital twin for predictive simulation of reservation scenarios. Real-time synchronization with railway reservation databases enables adaptive seat reassignment following cancellations and demand fluctuations. The proposed invention significantly improves reservation efficiency, enhances passenger satisfaction, maximizes seat utilization, and provides a scalable, intelligent decision-support platform suitable for modern railway transportation systems.
