MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631101067 A) filed by Institute Of Engineering And Management - School Of University Of Engineering And on August 21, 2026, for Intelligent Rescue Robot Using Nlp And Optimization.

Inventors include Mr. Sudipto Dhar; Mr. Niladri Sekhar Paul; Dr. Harshit Srivastava; and Dr. Buddhadeb Pradhan.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: An intelligent rescue robotic system for disaster response comprises an antenna (201), IoT module (202), multimodal sensors (203), microprocessor (204), analog-to-digital converter (301), power arrangement including a step-down voltage regulator (206), lithium- ion battery (206), charge controller (207) and AC mains input (208), autonomous robot (209), touch-screen display (210), routes (211, 212), and cloud database (304). The system interprets textual and spoken emergency inputs using NLP to extract victim locations, hazards and environmental conditions, and combines the interpreted information with sensor-derived data. A MILP optimization model determines rescue routes, task allocations and resource distributions under time, safety and resource constraints, while a MESSP module evaluates stochastic disaster scenarios. Dynamic path planning updates navigation according to hazards and changing sensor inputs, and the IoT-connected cloud platform coordinates robotic units for victim identification, supply delivery and guided evacuation.
