Abstract: The present invention relates to an Intelligent Real-Time Adaptive Traffic Management System that enhances urban mobility by dynamically optimizing traffic flow using advanced technologies. The system features adaptive traffic signal controls that adjust in real-time based on data from IoT-based traffic sensors monitoring density, speed, and conditions. A central control system powered by AI and machine learning predicts congestion using real-time and historical data. Edge computing processes data near the source for faster decisions, while camera-based monitoring employs image processing for traffic assessment. A vehicle-to-infrastructure communication interface connects vehicles with signals, enabling seamless integration with autonomous vehicles and prioritization for emergency vehicles. The system optimizes signal timings, proactively diverts traffic from congested zones, and factors in weather conditions to refine predictions. A user-friendly interface provides traffic managers with real-time visualization and manual control options, ensuring efficient traffic management and improved urban mobility.
