Abstract: Intelligent Multi-Sensor Electronic Surveillance Platform for Real-Time Border Security and Critical Infrastructure Monitoring Using Artificial Intelligence, IoT, and Secure Wireless Communication ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an Intelligent Multi-Sensor Electronic Surveillance Platform for Real-Time Border Security and Critical Infrastructure Monitoring Using Artificial Intelligence, IoT, and Secure Wireless Communication, configured to provide continuous, automated, and intelligent monitoring of designated border regions and critical infrastructure environments. The platform integrates distributed Internet of Things (IoT) sensor nodes, multi-sensor data acquisition, edge computing, secure wireless communication, artificial intelligence-based event detection, sensor-data fusion, anomaly analysis, geospatial monitoring, and real-time alert management within a unified surveillance architecture. The system receives heterogeneous information from authorized sensors including electro-optical cameras, thermal imaging sensors, radar or motion sensors, acoustic sensors, vibration sensors, environmental sensors, and infrastructure-condition sensors. An edge-processing module performs data filtering, noise reduction, synchronization, event detection, and preliminary classification before securely transmitting relevant information to a central or distributed analytics platform. A multi-sensor fusion engine correlates observations from different sensing modalities to improve detection reliability and reduce false alarms caused by environmental conditions or individual sensor uncertainty. An artificial intelligence analytics module performs object and event detection, movement-pattern analysis, anomaly identification, infrastructure condition assessment, and risk classification based on configured operational parameters. A secure wireless communication module provides authenticated and encrypted transmission between sensor nodes, edge gateways, and authorized monitoring servers. A real-time surveillance engine continuously evaluates detected events and generates prioritized alerts according to configurable thresholds, confidence levels, location, event type, and infrastructure criticality. An explainable analytics module provides human-readable information regarding detected events by identifying contributing sensor observations, confidence indicators, relevant environmental conditions, and analytical factors. A command and monitoring interface provides authorized security and infrastructure personnel with real-time dashboards, geospatial visualization, sensor status, event history, alerts, and evidence-linked analytical information. The platform further supports distributed operation, communication-loss resilience, sensor health monitoring, historical data analysis, and coordinated monitoring of critical infrastructure assets. The invention improves situational awareness, detection consistency, communication reliability, response prioritization, and operational transparency while maintaining configurable human oversight for security-related decisions and actions.
