MUMBAI, India, Sept. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641104379 A) filed by Gayathri Devi S; and Dr. S. V. Kogilavani on August 31, 2026, for Intelligent Mri Analysis Framework For Early Diagnosis Of Huntington'S Disease Using Vision Transformers And Deep Learning Based Ai Powered Models.
Inventors include Gayathri Devi S; and Dr. S. V. Kogilavani.
The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses the development of an intelligent MRI analysis framework for early diagnosis of Huntington's disease through Vision Transformers and artificial intelligence models based on deep learning. In the framework, multi-sequence MRI images are taken and then pre-processed, skull-stripped, normalized, segmented, and feature extraction is done. Vision Transformer model takes into account the spatial relationship of the image along with the subtle structural anomalies associated with neurodegenerative changes. In addition, deep learning models take into account the volumetric and anatomical properties of the brain regions. An intelligent fusion module uses the extracted features to predict the risk of disease and disease severity. The framework not only offers an accurate and efficient prediction but also provides explainable outputs in visual format. FIG.1
