MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641098049 A) filed by Nayas; and Rajalakshmi Engineering College on August 12, 2026, for Intelligent Motorcycle Navigation Computer With Adaptive Thermal Management And Predictive Rider Assistance System.
Inventors include Dr. M. Prasanna Jeyanthi; Dr. R. Ramesh; Dr. L. Prasanna Venkatesh; and Dr. R. Nathiya.
The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an intelligent motorcycle navigation computer incorporating an adaptive thermal management system and predictive rider assistance for reliable operation under demanding riding conditions. The system comprises a high-brightness display, navigation processing unit, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver, Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), environmental sensing subsystem, distributed thermal sensor network, adaptive thermal controller, power management unit, and wireless communication module integrated within a rugged waterproof enclosure. The adaptive thermal controller continuously monitors operational and environmental parameters, including processor workload, internal temperatures, battery status, ambient conditions, and motorcycle operating conditions. Based on these inputs, the controller predicts thermal behavior and proactively regulates processor performance, display brightness, charging current, and cooling mechanisms to maintain stable operation while minimizing thermal stress. The navigation system further provides motorcycle-specific route guidance and predictive rider alerts for hazardous road conditions. By integrating intelligent navigation with predictive thermal management, the invention improves navigation reliability, reduces the likelihood of thermal shutdown, and enhances overall system performance during prolonged operation in challenging environments.
