Inventors include Siju George; Dr. Ashish Kumar Rai; Dr. Amol Barve; and Dr. Anand Singh.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: An Intelligent Monitoring and Analysis Unit incorporating Internet of Things (IoT) for a Solar Photovoltaic Energy system is disclosed. The system comprises a Solar PV (100) module coupled to a plurality of Sensors (102) which acquire electrical and environmental parameters and feed the same to a central Microcontroller Unit (MCU) (104). The MCU (104) is bidirectionally coupled to an Edge Processing module (106) and an Edge Analytics module (108) for local signal conditioning and on-site fault/anomaly detection, and further drives a Communication module (110) supporting Wi-Fi and LoRa protocols, a Cloud IoT platform (112) and an Analytics module (114), the outputs of which converge upon a common User Interface (116) for presenting a consolidated, real-time and historical view of system performance to an end user. The invention enables efficient, scalable and low- latency monitoring, fault detection and predictive maintenance of solar photovoltaic installations.
