MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621109504 A) filed by Lnct University on September 11, 2026, for Intelligent Media Influence Measurement Apparatus For Analyzing Lifestyle News Effects On Regional Newspaper Readers.

Inventors include Ritu Saxena; Dr. Anu Shrivastava; and Prof. Dr. Manishkant Jain.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an intelligent media influence measurement apparatus for analysing effects of lifestyle-news content on readers of regional newspapers. The apparatus comprises a media-content acquisition module, reader-response data acquisition module, memory, processor, content-analysis engine, regional reader profiling engine, temporal correlation engine, influence computation engine, and visualization interface. Lifestyle-news content is converted into structured representations comprising linguistic, semantic, thematic, contextual, geographic, and temporal attributes. Reader-response events are associated with regional reader groups and temporally correlated with publication or exposure of corresponding lifestyle-news content. Baseline reader behaviour is compared with post-exposure behaviour to determine normalized variations in measurable reader responses. The influence computation engine combines the normalized variations to generate article- specific, topic-specific, edition-specific, or region-specific media influence measurements. Anomaly filtering and baseline normalization improve reliability of the measurement. The apparatus thereby provides automated quantitative assessment of lifestyle-news influence across heterogeneous regional newspaper readership populations and publication contexts.
