Abstract: The Automated Irrigation Management System using LoRa Communication is a wireless sensor-based system developed to improve water management in paddy fields. The system utilizes soil moisture and water level sensors placed at critical locations within the field to continuously monitor irrigation conditions and water availability. The collected sensor data is processed by an ESP32 microcontroller and transmitted through LoRa communication to a central control unit, enabling reliable long-range data transmission without requiring internet connectivity. Based on predefined threshold values, the system automatically determines whether irrigation is required and controls a relay-operated water pump accordingly. The pump remains active until the desired water level is achieved at the monitored locations, after which it is switched OFF automatically. The proposed system reduces manual intervention, minimizes water wastage, ensures adequate water distribution, and improves overall irrigation efficiency and crop productivity.
