Abstract: ABSTRACT The rapid growth of smart buildings has increased the need for intelligent energy management systems that reduce power consumption while maintaining occupant comfort. The proposed Intelligent JoT-Based Energy Optimization System for Smart Buildings integrates loT devices, machine learning, and cloud-based analytics to optimize energy usage in real time. A network of sensors continuously monitors temperature, humidity, light intensity, occupancy, and energy consumption, with data transmitted to a cloud platform for analysis. The system employs the Random Forest (RF) algorithm to predict energy demand and occupancy patterns, while KMeans Clustering identifies energy usage behaviors across different building zones. Based on these insights, an intelligent control mechanism dynamically adjusts lighting and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) operations. In addition, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is used to determine optimal operating schedules that minimize energy consumption while ensuring user comfort. The proposed framework improves energy efficiency, reduces power wastage, and enhances occupant comfort compared with conventional approaches. By combining loT sensing, machine learning, and optimization techniques, it enables real-time decision- making and provides a scalable solution for sustainable smart building energy management.
