Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of an intelligent Internet of Things (IoT) and graph theory-based navigation solution for automatic doorstep medicine delivery by drones is described in this disclosure. The proposed system includes modules for medicine requisition processing, an IoT-enabled environment sensing network, route optimization using graph theory techniques, a cloud analytics platform, a drone control mechanism, navigation, communication, and delivery authentication subsystems. Real-time sensor data are used to develop and constantly update models of delivery networks in the form of weighted graphs. Route selection in the process of delivery is made using graph theory algorithms taking into account factors such as distance, drone energy consumption, weather, presence of obstacles, and urgency of delivery. The drone automatically flies to the destination point and delivers medicine securely, employing such techniques as QR-code or RFID tag authentication, biometric verification, or One Time Password (OTP).
