Abstract: Heart Disease is one of the most common diseases that cause death throughout the world, causing deaths of millions people every year even with the advancements in medical diagnosis and treatment methods. The conventional methods of diagnosing heart diseases and preventing them do not recognize symptoms in the early stage due to their costliness, complexity, and unavailability. Machine learning approaches have been used to diagnose heart diseases using a wide variety of clinical and demography parameters. The paper aims to provide an economic, accurate, and precise method of diagnosing heart diseases in the early stage by analyzing various data sets using approaches such as Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, Random Forest, and others. The approaches develop a predictive model to solve the binary classification problem of determining the presence or absence of heart disease based on parameters such as age, blood pressure, cholesterol level, and electrocardiographic measurements. The approaches have been compared based on accuracy, True detection rate, False detection rate, and computational time.
