MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641100246 A) filed by Jyothy Institute Of Technology on August 19, 2026, for Intelligent Handwriting Digitization Device, system And Method Thereof.

Inventors include Dr. Kishore G R; Basavesh D; Aniktha Bandari; Harshini V Babu; Priyanka T; and Sahana S.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: INTELLIGENT HANDWRITING DIGITIZATION DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF The present disclosure relates to an intelligent handwriting digitization device, system, and method for converting handwritten information into machine-readable digital content. The device (100) comprises a writing tip (104), a pressure sensing module (106), an inertial sensing module (108), an image acquisition module (110), a processing unit (112), and associated processing modules. The pressure sensing module (106) detects writing-contact events and writing-release events to control acquisition of motion information and image information. A stroke reconstruction module (128) generates reconstructed handwriting trajectories from acquired motion information, and a synthetic image generation module (130) generates synthetic stroke images corresponding thereto. A recognition module (134) generates machine- readable text from synthetic stroke images, processed image information, or combinations thereof. The generated content may be stored, displayed, transmitted, translated, or converted into speech. The disclosure provides improved handwriting digitization through coordinated motion sensing and image acquisition mechanisms. [Fig. 1]
