Abstract: Communication barriers significantly impact individuals who are hearing or speech impaired, limiting their interactions and engagement in society. This project proposes a solution using Hand Gesture Recognition and Voice Conversion technology to bridge this communication gap, enhancing accessibility and understanding. The system recognizes standard sign language gestures through machine learning algorithms that analyze hand movements and gestures captured by a camera. The recognized gestures are then converted into real-time speech output, enabling seamless interaction with those who may not understand sign language. Additionally, the system incorporates a voice-to-sign conversion feature, allowing spoken language to be translated back into visual or text-based signs. The integration of gesture recognition with voice conversion in a unified framework offers a dynamic, bidirectional communication tool, empowering individuals with hearing and speech impairments to communicate more effectively and inclusively. 3 Claims and 2 Figures
