MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641078259 A) filed by Cvr College Of Engineering on June 25, 2026, for Intelligent Graph Neural Network-Based System For Eeg Connectivity Analysis And Early Alzheimer'S Disease Detection.
Inventor includes Maddela Nagamani.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: Early diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease (AD) is essential to prompt clinical intervention and improved patient care. Current EEG diagnosis approaches and traditional machine learning algorithms may lack the ability to accurately and reliably capture the complex functional connectivity among widely distributed brain areas. To overwhelmed these confines, the current discovery provides a Graph Neural Network-based framework configured to transform EEG connectivity information into brain connectivity graphs and learn higher-order neural interaction patterns associated with cognitive decline. The resulting graph representations are subsequently utilized to classify subjects as Healthy Control or Alzheimer's Disease, thereby enabling early disease diagnosis. The present invention uses OpenNeuro Alzheimer's EEG Dataset, and applies graph learning with an emphasis on connectivity to extract disease-specific neural connectivity biomarkers. The proposed framework is efficient and scalable to be cast-off in the analysis of AD and clinical decision making to provide accurate, robust and automated brain connectivity analysis.
