Abstract: ABSTRACT INTELLIGENT FLIGHT TRACKING AND DELAY PREDICTION SYSTEM USING MACHINE LEARNING An intelligent flight tracking and delay prediction system (100) comprising a six-layer architecture that transforms heterogeneous aviation and meteorological data into actionable delay predictions. The system includes an external data source module (110), a data collection layer (120), a raw data storage module (130), a data processing and feature engineering module (140), a machine learning layer (150) with a gradient boosted prediction model (154) employing XGBoost algorithm, and an application layer (160) with an interactive dashboard. The data processing module (140) performs cleaning, delay flagging, feature assembly across temporal, categorical, operational, geographic, and meteorological dimensions, and encoding transformations. The application layer (160) provides an operational command bar (174), KPI display panel (176), analytics section (164), and fallback mode handler (172) for continuous operation. The system enables proactive delay management through predictive analytics with risk classification. [
