Abstract: ABSTRACT The increasing demand for electrical energy and the rising incidence of unauthorized electricity consumption create significant challenges in power distribution, revenue management, and grid reliability. This project presents a Deep Neural Network (DNN)-based electricity theft detection system designed to identify abnormal electricity consumption patterns and detect potential power theft in real-time. The system employs an Arduino microcontroller interfaced with voltage and current sensors, along with an energy measurement sensor, to continuously monitor electrical parameters such as voltage, current, power, and energy consumption. The collected data is processed and analyzed using a Deep Neural Network trained to distinguish between normal and abnormal consumption patterns. When a suspicious pattern is detected, an automated alert is generated to indicate possible electricity theft for further investigation. The proposed system enables continuous monitoring and reliable identification of abnormal load patterns. Data can be stored for historical analysis and comparison of consumer usage patterns. A user-friendly monitoring interface displays electrical parameters and theft detection status. The system offers an affordable and scalable solution to reduce power losses, protect utility revenue, and improve electricity distribution efficiency.
