Abstract: ABSTRACT The proposed invention presents an intelligent desktop interface that leverages natural language processing, speech recognition, computer vision, and automation techniques to enable intuitive and hands-free human-computer interaction. The system allows users to control desktop operations through voice commands and hand gestures, reducing reliance on traditional input devices. Voice inputs are captured through a microphone and converted into text, which is then processed using natural language processing techniques to extract user intent. Simultaneously, hand gestures are detected using computer vision methods to provide an additional mode of interaction. The intelligent assistant integrates these multi-modal inputs within a unified decision-making framework that maps recognized intents to system-level actions such as application control, file management, system navigation, and task execution. Desktop automation libraries are employed to ensure real-time and reliable execution of commands, along with appropriate system feedback to the user. The proposed approach addresses the limitations of existing rule-based desktop assistants, which lack contextual understanding, adaptability, and integrated gesture control. By combining natural language processing-driven intent recognition with gesture- based interaction, the system improves accuracy, efficiency, accessibility, and user experience. The invention demonstrates the practical application of artificial intelligence in creating a smart, responsive, and scalable desktop automation solution that remains feasible for real-world academic and practical deployment while maintaining novelty through its integrated multi-modal architecture.
