Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an intelligent collaborative robotic system configured to enable safe, adaptive and efficient interaction between humans and robots operating within a shared workspace. The system integrates multimodal sensing devices including cameras, depth sensors, proximity sensors, ultrasonic sensors, LiDAR, force and torque sensors, or combinations thereof, for continuously monitoring humans, objects, obstacles and environmental conditions. Sensor information is processed by an intelligent perception and computing unit to detect and track human operators, estimate position, distance, movement direction, relative velocity and predicted movement trajectory. A collision-risk assessment mechanism evaluates human–robot interaction parameters and classifies the interaction into safety levels. Based on the determined risk, an intelligent decision-making and safety-control mechanism dynamically controls robot velocity, acceleration, direction and trajectory. The robot may continue normal operation, reduce speed, modify its trajectory, maintain separation, perform controlled deceleration or initiate emergency stopping. A closed-loop feedback mechanism continuously updates robotic motion according to changes in human movement and workspace conditions. The invention thereby reduces collision probability, minimizes unnecessary interruptions and improves safety and efficiency in collaborative manufacturing, assembly, logistics, healthcare, warehouse automation and service robotics.
