Abstract: An intelligent blockchain-based digital identity verification system is disclosed for authenticating a user while minimizing disclosure and avoiding storage of plaintext credential content on a blockchain. A user-controlled identity wallet stores or accesses cryptographically protected credentials and generates a transaction-specific privacy-preserving proof responsive to a challenge issued by a verification gateway. A policy engine determines a minimum credential predicate according to transaction context and a contextual risk state. The proof is validated using issuer verification material, a blockchain-resident credential integrity anchor, and privacy- preserving revocation or status information. Pairwise or transaction-specific pseudonymous identifiers reduce cross-verifier correlation, while nonce, session, policy, and verifier-domain binding inhibits replay. Upon successful validation, the gateway issues a signed verification result containing satisfied predicates, assurance information, proof freshness information, and a ledger-state reference while excluding undisclosed credential attributes. Optional verification-event commitments enable tamper-evident audit without exposing personal identity data. Accompanied Drawing [FIGS. 1-2].
