Abstract: INTELLIGENT AI-BASED SPOKEN ENGLISH CONFIDENCE MEASUREMENT SYSTEM WITH REAL-TIME CONVERSATIONAL COMPETENCY SCORING ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an intelligent AI-based system for measuring spoken English confidence and conversational competency in real time. The system captures user speech through a microphone and performs audio preprocessing, speech recognition, acoustic feature extraction, linguistic analysis, semantic evaluation, and conversational behavior analysis. Confidence-related parameters including hesitation, pause duration, response latency, speech rate, pitch variation, pronunciation stability, and speech continuity are combined with grammar, vocabulary, relevance, coherence, turn-taking, and topic continuity parameters. An AI inference engine generates a Spoken English Confidence Score and Conversational Competency Score. An adaptive dialogue controller modifies subsequent conversational prompts according to detected performance. A feedback module provides personalized recommendations and stores historical scores for longitudinal performance analysis. The invention enables continuous, automated, context-aware assessment of spoken English confidence during spontaneous conversational interaction.
