The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.

Abstract: Medical reports and prescriptions are often filled with technical jargon and handwritten notes that are difficult for patients to interpret. While doctors understand these terms, patients frequently struggle to grasp the meaning of their health conditions, prescribed tests, or medications. This lack of clarity can lead to confusion, poor compliance with treatment, and increased health risks. The present invention proposes an intelligent system that combines deep learning-based Optical Character Recognition (OCR) with Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to assist patients in understanding their medical records. The system extracts text from scanned prescriptions and reports using advanced OCR models and identifies key elements such as medical conditions, prescribed diagnostic tests, medications, and dosage information. A medical knowledge base and NLP-based simplification engine are used to explain complex medical terminology in patient-friendly language and provide structured summaries. The system transforms unstructured medical documents into clear, understandable, and searchable digital records. This improves patient awareness, enhances treatment adherence, supports healthcare professionals, and strengthens healthcare digitization.
