MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611096276 A) filed by Chandigarh University on August 10, 2026, for Integrated Triple-Trigger Automatic Gas Shut-Off Burner For A Domestic Gas Stove.

Inventors include Dr. Navneet Kaur; and Roopendra Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an integrated triple-trigger automatic gas shut-off burner for domestic gas stoves. The burner comprises a burner head with a gas distribution body, a plurality of flame ports, an annular overflow deflector, an annular moat groove, a liquid spill sensing assembly having electrically insulated conductive electrode rings, a thermoelectric power generation module, a power conditioning circuit, an electronic controller, and a normally closed solenoid gas valve. The overflow deflector directs conductive liquid into the moat groove, where electrical continuity between the electrode rings generates a spill detection signal. The electronic controller also monitors the electrical output of the thermoelectric power generation module to detect burner inactivity and detects power-loss conditions by monitoring power availability. Upon detection of a spill, inactivity, or power loss, the controller de-energizes the normally closed solenoid gas valve to automatically interrupt gas flow, thereby improving user safety and preventing accidental gas leakage.
