Abstract: ABSTRACT INTEGRATED THERMAL MICROFLUIDIC SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SYNTHESIS OF CARBON DOTS Disclosed are an integrated thermal microfluidic system (150) and a method for synthesis of carbon dots. The system (150) includes a microfluidic device (40) disposed on a heating unit (30), a thermocouple (50) for temperature monitoring and providing feedback, and a microcontroller (70) for controlling heating operation based on the feedback. The system (150) and method enable controlled synthesis of carbon quantum dots from a precursor within the microfluidic device under controlled thermal conditions. The system (150) and the method of the present invention support portability and automation, making the system user-friendly and adaptable for multiple applications, and allow scalability to small reaction volumes, thereby enabling cost-effective operation.
