MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611093456 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering And Technology Niet on August 01, 2026, for Integrated Receiver Ic With Phase-Domain Spatial Detection And Synchronization Error Correction For Millimeter-Wave Grsm Systems.
Inventors include Dr. Prachi Tripathi; and Dr. Prasanna Kumar Singh.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: An integrated receiver system-on-chip (100) for generalized receive spatial modulation (GRSM) in millimeter-wave and sub-terahertz communication systems is disclosed. The system-on-chip comprises a multi-antenna RF front-end module (110), a direct RF sampling module (120), a phase uniformity detection engine (130), a synchronization error correction module (140), a phase-coherence-aware branch combiner (150), a symbol detection module (160), and an on-chip calibration engine (170). The phase uniformity detection engine (130) performs spatial detection by extracting phase samples from directly sampled RF signals and applying a Rayleigh uniformity test with a noise-variance-independent threshold. The synchronization error correction module (140) estimates and corrects timing and carrier frequency offsets using phase coherence feedback from the detection engine. The phase-coherence-aware branch combiner (150) weights active branches by their mean resultant length for robust symbol detection under phase noise.
