MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631124353 A) filed by C. V. Raman Global University on October 16, 2026, for Integrated Multi-Sensor Healthcare Monitoring System With Multi-Stage Alert Verification And Redundant Communication Mechanism.

Inventors include Dr. Debasis Behera; Dr. Ramchandra Barik; Mr. Dinesh Routray; and Mr. Subhaprakash Panda.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: An integrated multi-sensor healthcare monitoring system with multi-stage alert verification and redundant communication is disclosed. The system comprises a Wi-Fi enabled microcontroller coupled to health sensors for heart rate, oxygen saturation and body temperature, environmental sensors for ambient temperature, humidity, gas concentration and light intensity, and safety sensors for flame, motion, vibration and fluid level. A decision engine correlates the health, environmental and safety readings, applies moving average filtering and threshold classification, and drives a fan, buzzers and an indicator. Detected fire and fall events are verified through a silent settling stage and a warning stage that monitors for responsive motion before a confirmed alert is generated. Alerts are classified by severity, escalated when unanswered, and transmitted simultaneously through a messaging channel and electronic mail, while data are logged to a cloud platform and presented on a web portal hosted by the microcontroller. Each alert is recorded with its priority level, and a state change notification is issued on both onset and resolution of the condition. The invention reduces false alarms, improves the reliability of emergency notification and is compact and low-cost for hospitals, intensive care units and home healthcare.
