MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621096071 A) filed by Blueway Horizon Private Limited on August 08, 2026, for Integrated Modular Avionics Architecture With Autonomous Flight-State Management, Telemetry, Sensing And Recovery Control For Aerospace Platforms.
Inventors include Nandan Kumar Jha; Pranjit Sharma; and Bhanu Pant.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an integrated, modular and configurable avionics, sensing, telemetry, data-logging and autonomous recovery architecture for aerospace and atmospheric platforms. The system comprises programmable processing, navigation, telemetry and communication, configurable multi-channel sensing, data logging, health monitoring and autonomous recovery functions. The sensing architecture permits different sensor combinations to be selected according to mission requirements, including inertial, pressure, differential-pressure, temperature, thermal, vibration, strain, environmental, atmospheric, radiation, electromagnetic and other scientific or mission-specific measurements. Sensor measurements may be spatially distributed, time-synchronized, processed, recorded and transmitted with vehicle and flight-state data. The architecture supports aerodynamic and aerothermal characterization, thermal-protection-system and material evaluation, atmospheric profiling, environmental and radiation characterization, high-speed and hypersonic-flight studies, atmospheric-entry communication degradation and radio-frequency conditions, and microgravity or reduced-gravity experiments using suitable suborbital, sounding-rocket, free-fall, drop-tower, parabolic-flight, high-altitude or orbital platforms. The recovery subsystem may further include a post-landing location-identification function using an audible, visible, radio-frequency or other beacon. The architecture is applicable to re-entry vehicles, sounding rockets, high-altitude payloads, UAVs, CanSat platforms, atmospheric research instrumentation, technology demonstrators, reusable aerospace systems, and scientific or defence-related payloads..
