Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an integrated chemical-free foul odor extraction system (100) for a Western-type water closet. The system comprises a seat base assembly (102) mounted over a commode rim and a lid assembly (103). A flexible intake conduit (104) having circumferentially distributed perforations (105) is positioned along an inner bottom periphery of the seat base assembly (102) to form a distributed suction manifold around a bowl region. A blower unit (106), driven by a brushless DC motor (108), is housed within an exhaust box (120) along with a control module (116) and a rechargeable DC battery (114). Upon activation, the blower unit (106) generates negative pressure within the intake conduit (104) to capture foul gases at source prior to dispersion into ambient air. Extracted air is discharged externally through an exhaust conduit (110) comprising a non-return valve (118). The system is retrofittable, energy-efficient, and eliminates the need for chemical air fresheners. Figure associated with Abstract is Fig. 1.
