Abstract: The invention discloses an eco-friendly sanitary pad (100) comprising multiple biodegradable functional layers for menstrual hygiene, comfort, absorbency, and leak protection. The absorbent core (103) is made from lotus stem fibre alone or blended with banana, bamboo, cotton, or cellulose fibres to enhance absorbency, softness, and breathability. The herbal antibacterial layer (104) contains natural extracts such as neem, aloe vera, turmeric, or tulsi for odour control and microbial inhibition. The distribution layer (102) ensures even fluid spread, preventing saturation, while the back sheet (105) prevents leakage. All layers are breathable, reducing moisture and irritation. The pad is lightweight, flexible, skin-friendly, and biodegradable, offering a sustainable alternative to conventional sanitary products.
