Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an information transmission method and apparatus, a communication device, a communication system, and a storage medium. An access network device sends first information, the first information being used for indicating a task configuration of an Internet of Things (IoT) task, wherein the IoT task is executed when a terminal is at least in an RRC non-connected state, the terminal is associated with a reader for backscatter transmission in the IoT task, and the RRC non-connected state comprises an RRC idle state and/or an RRC inactive state. According to the technical solution provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure, rapid and low-cost deployment of passive IoT is realized, and the objective of power saving of the terminal is achieved.
