Abstract: INFLUENCE OF CONSUMER CHARACTERISTICS ON IMPULSIVE BUYING BEHAVIOUR AMONG COLLEGE STUDENTS ABSTRACT A computerized method assesses associations between consumer characteristics and impulsive buying among consenting college students. A consent interface assigns each participant a pseudonymous code. A characteristic questionnaire collects voluntary responses, and a purchase-event interface receives event times and reported purchasing intentions within a defined observation window. A validation processor checks records and links eligible characteristic responses with purchase events using the code and window. An event classifier applies a stored rule to identify reported unplanned purchases while retaining an unclassified state for missing intention responses. A cohort processor assembles linked analysis records with provenance and missingness information. An association processor computes characteristic-related estimates and uncertainty measures under an analysis plan. A disclosure controller applies cohort-size release rules and generates an aggregated report without participant-level purchase histories. Versioned rules support processing, while a withdrawal function excludes designated records from subsequent analyses under a retention procedure. Outputs do not establish causal influence.
