Abstract: This industrial control system includes controllers each of which comprises: an information recording unit (2) that records first individual identification information, which includes individual identification information for the relevant controller, and second individual identification information, which includes individual identification information for a second controller that is a different controller connected to a first controller; an individual identification information transmission unit (3) that transmits the first individual identification information to the second controller; an individual identification information comparison unit (4) that, upon receiving second individual identification information from the second controller, compares the second individual identification information recorded in the information recording unit (2) to the received second individual identification information; and an individual identification information comparison unit (4) that determines that the second controller has been replaced if the results of the comparison are different.
