Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an inductor-assisted switched-capacitor multilevel inverter system (100) for converting direct current (DC) power into alternating current (AC) output is disclosed. The system (100) includes a DC input source (102) providing an input voltage (Vdc), and a boosting unit (104) having an inductor (112), a controlled semiconductor switch (114), a diode (116), and a capacitor (118) for regulating a capacitor voltage (vc) through controlled charging and discharging. A switched-capacitor multilevel switching network (106) is coupled to the capacitor (118) and the DC input source (102) to generate stepped voltage levels. At least two half-bridge modules (108) are provided to generate polarity reversal of an output voltage (Vab). A controller (110) controls duty ratio (D) and switching operations to produce a multilevel AC waveform. The system achieves single-stage power conversion, reduced device stress, and degraded fault-tolerant operation.
