The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT Title: INDUCTION EXCITED AND INDUCTION ASSISTED SYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR. The present invention discloses an induction excited and induction assisted synchronous generator (IISyG) comprising an induction machine element (IM) and a synchronous machine element (SM). The IM operates to supply field current to the SM and simultaneously assisting in supplying power to a load/grid. The IM and the SM are housed in the same machine frame having stator slots and rotor slots. The stator slots house stator windings of the SM and IM, while the rotor slots to house both the exciation and the power windings of the IM rotor and the field winding of SM, whereby the IM rotor excitation winding is connected to the SM rotor winding through a rotating rectifier assembly, thereby eliminating the need for the brushes and slip-rings (Fig 1b) while the power winding is shorted to process a significant amount of power through the power winding in addition to supplying the field current to the synchronous element through the excitation winding.
