Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to infant safety monitoring systems. The mattress system (102) integrates a radar sensor (106) embedded within foam layers to transmit microwave signals and detect infant chest movements without direct contact, an environmental sensor (108) measuring temperature gradients to identify fever conditions, and a sound sensor (110) detecting low-frequency acoustic vibrations from infant breathing. The processing circuit (104) performs real-time sensor fusion, correlating radar breathing signals with temperature gradient measurements to distinguish normal sleep movement from fever-induced breathing changes. Cross- validation between the radar sensor (106) and sound sensor (110) eliminates false alarms caused by infant position changes. The processing circuit (104) weights radar signals based on environmental temperature conditions to compensate for signal attenuation variations. Priority-classified emergency notifications are transmitted to a user device (116), where high-priority alerts require simultaneous breathing cessation confirmation from both the radar sensor (106) and sound sensor (110) over predetermined time periods.
