MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617068044 A) filed by Telefonaktiebolaget Lm Ericsson Publ on May 30, 2026, for Indication Of Radio Link Failure Occurying After Successful Completion Of Fast Mcg Recovery.
Inventors include Parichehrehteroujeni, Ali; and Belleschi, Marco.
The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: Embodiments include methods for a user equipment (UE) configured to operate in dual connectivity with a radio access network (RAN). Such methods include detecting a radio-related failure in a second primary cell (PCell) after successfully executing a handover from a first PCell to the second PCell. Such methods include, when a supervision timer for fast master cell group (MCG) recovery was running when the UE initiated the handover, sending to a RAN node a failure report including one of the following indications that the radio-related failure occurred after completion of the fast MCG recovery: an explicit indication; or an implicit indication, based on absence from the failure report of one or more information about the handover from the first PCell to the second PCell. Other embodiments include complementary methods for a RAN node, as well as UEs and RAN nodes configured to perform such methods.
