Abstract: A method implemented at a user equipment includes performing measurements while the user equipment is in an idle or inactive state. The measurements produce corresponding measurement results of a first type of measurement results and/or a second type of measurement results, where the second type is a legacy type with respect to the first type. The method includes determining an availability regarding the corresponding measurement results. The method includes providing an indication of the availability to a network for configuration of carrier aggregation for the user equipment, with the indication of the availability also identifying which one or more of the first type of measurement results or the second type of measurement results are available. A method is also provided in which a selection is made regarding the corresponding measurement results to report, and reporting at least part of the corresponding measurement results are reported based on the selection.
