Abstract: The fight against TB still continues despite chemotherapy and the directly observed treatment short-course (DOTS) approach to treat it. The development of resistance to the current therapy has thrown a big challenge as there are limited options available to treat the drug-resistant tuberculosis. In this direction, we have synthesized indazole containing thiazole and furan derivatives having nitro substituents. These derivatives showed activity against M. tuberculosis H37Rv. Importantly, these derivatives are highly effective against drug-resistant M. tuberculosis H37Rv clinical isolates.
