MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631110940 A) filed by Brainware University on September 16, 2026, for Income-Constrained Optimization System For Agricultural Produce Marketing And Sale Decisions.

Inventors include Dr. Soham Bachaspati; Dr. Soham Hazra; Dr. Sourav Roy; Dr. Ankur Mukhopadhyay; Dr. Madhusri Pramanik; and Mr. Akshaya Kumar Paine.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: An income-constrained optimisation system for agricultural produce marketing comprises a perishability and constraint computation module (130) that derives, for a harvested lot, a perishability decay function (131), a producer-specific minimum acceptable income value (132) and a normalised economic vulnerability index (133), and a constrained optimisation engine (150) that generates a feasible search space of candidate selling channel, price, timing and quantity combinations by excluding any combination whose expected net income falls below the minimum acceptable income before ranking is performed, and that ranks the remaining combinations using a vulnerability-weighted utility function so that producers of higher computed vulnerability are preferentially matched to lower-variance marketing options. A buyer segmentation and matching module (160) and a multilingual recommendation module (170) deliver the resulting recommendation through mobile, SMS or interactive voice response channels, and a feedback module (190) updates the forecasting and constraint computations from realised sale outcomes.
