MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511009668 A) filed by Schneider Electric India Private Limited on February 06, 2025, for Inbuilt Ct And Pt Lifting Arrangement In Switchgear.
Inventors include Sahoo, Gyana Ranjan; and Dash, Sudhansu Sekhar.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: The invention provides an integrated lifting mechanism for current transformers (CTs) and potential transformers (PTs) within a medium voltage air-insulated switchgear panel. The system includes a cable chamber (2) housing CTs (3) mounted on frames (4) with eye bolts (5). U shackles (6) connect to wire ropes (7), which are driven by a DC motor with a gear box (11) and pulley (12) housed in a driving box (8) on a panel base (14). Guide rollers (9) facilitate smooth rope movement. The DC motor, powered by a low voltage chamber (1), automates the lifting process, enhancing safety and efficiency. The system allows for manual operation via a pulley handle in case of power failure. This compact design optimizes space and reduces installation time, providing a reliable solution for transformer handling in switchgear systems.
