Abstract: Modern-day stress is the leading reason for the growing incidence of insomnia around the globe. Existing sleep treatments, especially for patients with diabetes, may lead to dependence and several other side effects. The current study discusses a novel oral gel, which has the potential to regulate blood glucose level and resolve sleep disorders. The gel uses amla extract to decrease postprandial blood glucose elevation and phytochemicals from raisins to stimulate melatonin synthesis, which enhances sleep quality. The gel forms in the stomach upon oral intake, enabling extended retention within the body to slowly release its bioactive components. Specifically, diabetic patients can have access to a safe and convenient therapy for insomnia through this innovation.
