MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541084332 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Science on September 04, 2025, for In-Memory Computational Operations And Data Storage.
Inventors include Goswami, Sreetosh; and Bhat, Navakanta.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT IN-MEMORY COMPUTATION WITH NON-VOLATILE MEMORY INTEGRATED IN SYSTEM-ON-CHIP A system-on-chip (SoC) (100) comprising a non-volatile memory (NVM) 5 (106) and one or more processing cores (104) is disclosed. The NVM (106) comprises a crossbar array (200) having word lines (206), bit lines (208) oriented perpendicular thereto, and a layer of molecular material interposed therebetween. A molecular memristor (210) formed at each intersection stores data representative of a conductance state. In response to concurrent 10 application of respective input voltages to the word lines (206), a current conducted through each molecular memristor (210) corresponds to a product of the respective input voltage and the conductance state, and an output from each bit line (208) corresponds to a sum of the currents conducted through the molecular memristors (210) coupled thereto. The one or more processing cores 15 (104) perform computation operations based on the outputs. FIG. 2A 33
